Dear South Pines Families,

Welcome Golden Eagles! My name is Jennifer Reyes and I am honored and excited to be the principal at South Pines Elementary. This is my 22nd year in education and my third year in the Central Valley School District. I have been a classroom teacher, an Instructional Coach, an Assistant Principal and now am elated to be part of the South Pines Community as I have always had a passion for working with kids. I believe in supporting students, families, teachers, and all staff through building relationships and doing what is best for children. I have two children of my own and am honored to get to work with your student(s) each and every day, sparking their curiosity and cultivating their love for learning. Our mission at South Pines is to inspire, encourage and challenge our Golden Eagles so they can soar, by becoming caring and productive future citizens and leaders. Teachers and support staff work diligently exploring new ways to challenge and motivate student learning which translates to achieving academic excellence.

We also value the importance of social emotional learning for each and every student. We are a learning community and I value the partnership with families and school. We are excited to work alongside your family and student(s) both academically and socially. We know the importance of parent involvement and encourage volunteering in our classrooms, joining our PTO or simply joining a fun school tradition/event. Together, we can create an invigorating learning environment for each and every student.
